Uploading

    Document Upload

Document Upload lets you add one product at a time using a product image or a PDF document (such as a data sheet, specification sheet, or brochure).

    When to Use

    Document Upload is ideal for:

    • Adding individual new products
    • Uploading a product PDF where no image is available
    • Testing content generation
    • Quick product additions
    • Updating an existing product with a PDF

For bulk uploads, consider ZIP Upload or Spreadsheet Import.

    Upload Process

    Step 1: Enter Product ID

    1. Go to Add Products
    2. Select Document Upload
    3. Enter the Product ID
      • Use your SKU or product code
      • This must be unique
      • Avoid special characters

    Step 2: Upload Your File

    1. Click the upload area or drag and drop
    2. Select your product image or PDF
    3. Supported image formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, TIFF, BMP, SVG
    4. PDF: Any standard PDF document

    Step 3: Submit

    1. Review your Product ID and file
    2. Click Submit
    3. Wait for processing to complete

    PDF Uploads

    When you upload a PDF:

    • The first page is used as the product’s primary image in the product grid
    • All pages (up to your account’s page limit) are read by the AI to generate product content
    • The PDF appears in the product detail view under the Documents section

    Page limits

Each account has a maximum pages-per-PDF limit (default: 4 pages). PDFs exceeding this limit are rejected at upload. You can view and adjust your limit (up to your account cap) in Settings → Assets. Contact support to increase your cap.

    Unsupported PDFs

    • Password-protected PDFs: Rejected at upload. Remove the password and re-upload.
    • Scanned PDFs: Accepted, but AI extraction quality may be lower than a digital specification sheet. For best results, use PDFs with a selectable text layer.

    PDF uploads are ideal for:

    • Technical data sheets
    • Specification documents
    • Product brochures
    • Catalogue pages
