Single Image Upload

Single Image Upload is perfect for quickly adding individual products to merchi.ai. Upload one product at a time with a single image.

When to Use

Single Image Upload is ideal for:

• Adding individual new products
• Testing content generation
• Quick product additions
• Updating existing product images

For bulk uploads, consider ZIP Upload or Spreadsheet Import.

Upload Process

Step 1: Enter Product ID

1. Go to Add Products
2. Select Single Image Upload
3. Enter the Product ID
   • Use your SKU or product code
   • This must be unique
   • Avoid special characters

Step 2: Upload Image

1. Click the upload area or drag and drop
2. Select your product image
3. Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, TIFF, BMP, SVG

Step 3: Submit

1. Review your Product ID and image
2. Click Submit
3. Wait for processing to complete

Image Requirements

Size

• Minimum: 400x400 pixels
• Recommended: 800x800 or larger
• Maximum: 4000x4000 pixels

Quality

• High resolution preferred
• Clear, well-lit images
• Product should be main focus
• Avoid blurry or dark images

Content

• Show product clearly
• Include identifying features
• Labels and text help if readable
• White or neutral background recommended

Product ID Guidelines

Your Product ID should:

• Be unique in your system
• Match your existing inventory codes
• Not contain special characters
• Be memorable and consistent

Examples:

• SKU-12345
• PROD-WIDGET-001
• ITEM_A_LARGE_BLUE

After Upload

Once submitted:

1. Processing: AI analyzes your image
2. Generation: Content is created
3. Available: Product appears in All Products View

Processing typically takes 30-60 seconds.

Viewing Results

After processing:

1. Go to All Products View
2. Search for your Product ID
3. Click to view product details
4. Review and edit as needed
5. Change workflow status when ready

Adding More Images Later

To add additional images to a product:

1. Find the product in All Products View
2. Open product details
3. Use the image management section
4. Upload additional images
5. Regenerate content if desired

Image Quality Matters

• Better images produce better content
• Multiple clear shots are ideal
• Show distinctive features

Consistent Product IDs

• Use a consistent naming scheme
• Makes products easier to find
• Helps with organization

Review Promptly

• Check generated content quickly

Troubleshooting

Image Won’t Upload

• Check file format (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, TIFF, BMP, SVG)
• Ensure file isn’t too large
• Try a different browser
• Check internet connection

Product ID Already Exists

• Use a unique ID
• Check All Products View for existing product
• Update existing product instead

Poor Content Quality

• Use a higher quality image
• Ensure product is clearly visible
• Check Writing Knowledge settings
