merchi.ai Snap: Overview
merchi.ai Snap is the companion mobile app for iOS and Android. It lets you photograph products in the field, at a warehouse, showroom, or studio, and instantly generate AI-powered titles, descriptions, attributes, and taxonomy without touching a desktop.

How It Works
Snap uses the same merchi.ai AI pipeline as the web app. There is no separate backend. Everything you capture on your phone appears immediately in your All Products view on the web.
The flow has three steps:
- Identify: enter a product ID manually or scan its barcode or QR code
- Capture: take one or more photos of the product from different angles
- Review: check your shots, enable Studio Cutout if needed, and submit
Once submitted, your product enters the AI processing queue. You can photograph the next product straight away while the first one processes in the background.
Requirements
- Account: An active merchi.ai Enterprise account, provisioned by merchi.ai
- iOS: iOS 16.4 or later (iPhone or iPad)
- Android: Android 9 or later
- Camera permission: Required for product photography and barcode scanning
- Internet connection: Required to upload photos and receive AI results. There is no offline mode in the current version.

The app has three main tabs:
- Capture: the main photography workflow (identify, capture, review, submit)
- Products: browse and search products, with a live processing section at the top
- Queue: dedicated view of all processing jobs from this device
