    Snap: Processing Queue

After you submit a product, the AI processing job is tracked in two places: the Processing section at the top of the Products tab, and the dedicated Queue tab. Both update automatically every 5 seconds, so you don’t need to refresh manually.

    The Products Tab: Processing Section

Active jobs (Uploading, Processing, or Failed) are shown in a Processing section at the top of the Products tab, above the product list. This section is visible whether you are in All Products or This Device view.

When a job completes, the card disappears from the Processing section and the product appears in the list below.

Tap a Completed card to open the product detail screen.

    The Queue Tab

The Queue tab shows all jobs submitted from this device, including completed and failed ones, giving you a full history for this session.

Pull down to refresh if you want to force an immediate status check.

    Completed jobs

Tap any completed job to open the product detail screen.

    Failed jobs

A failed job means the AI pipeline encountered an error. The most common causes are:

    • Poor image quality (very dark, blurry, or blank images)
    • A connectivity issue that prevented the images from being received fully
    • A transient backend error

Try re-submitting the product via the Capture tab. If failures persist, contact support with the Product ID.

    Polling Behaviour

Both the Queue tab and the Products tab poll the merchi.ai backend every 5 seconds for any jobs with an active status. Polling stops automatically once all jobs have reached a terminal state (Completed or Failed).

If you close the app and reopen it, the queue is restored from local storage and polling resumes for any jobs that are still active.

    Tips

    • You don’t need to stay on the Queue tab while jobs run. Polling continues in the background when the tab is mounted.
    • If you photograph many products in quick succession, all their jobs are tracked and polled simultaneously.
    • Completed jobs remain visible in the Queue tab for the current session. They are not cleared until you reinstall the app or clear app data.
